Printing

The Technology Team offers faculty and staff the ability to set up printers for both their personal and Minnehaha-owned computers and mobile devices. Before getting started, you must be connected to the school's internet via either a wired or wireless connection. In order to reduce paper usage, grayscale duplex printing (back to back) is the recommended default on all campus print devices. Note that Minnehaha Academy plans to use the PaperCut print tracking system which emphasizes cost reduction and sustainability.


Can't Print/Printer is Offline (Not Responding)

  1. Cancel the print job. Verify you are on MA_Secure and can connect to the internet.

  2. Try a different printer to see if it's just that one printer or if you're having the issue with all printers.

  3. Restart the printer.

  4. Restart your computer.

  5. Remove and re-add the printer (from the Self-Service app, but you can also do it manually by going to System Preferences > Printers).


If issues persist Apple menu > System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, then press and hold the Control key as you click in the list at the left, then choose Reset printing system from the menu that appears. This deletes all printers from your list of printers, deletes information about all completed print jobs, and deletes all printer presets. Re-add printers as desired.

Note: If printing from an iPad be sure you’ve selected a printer that doesn’t include the name “MC-Tech-Server"

Add or Remove a Printer to a Mac

To automatically install a printer:

  1. Open Self Service and click the Printers category.

  2. Select and install the printer.

To manually install a printer to a Mac:

  1. Connect to any Minnehaha Academy Wi-Fi network

  2. Click the  in the upper corner left of the menu bar > System Preferences... > Printer & Scanners > Click"+" to add printers or "" to remove printers.

  3. Select the printer from the list of nearby printers or by using it's IP address. Add a name/location and click Add. If the computer requires specific drivers (like the BizHub) be sure to select the correct software

Add Printer to a Windows Machine

To manually install a printer to a PC:

  1. Search “Printers and Scanners” - in Control Panel

  2. Add a Printer

  3. “The printer that I want isn’t listed.”

  4. Add a printer using TCP/IP

  5. Type in IP Address


When printing to BizHub:

  1. Click File > Print

  2. Click on Printer Properties

  3. Click on Basic Tab

  4. Click on Authentication/Account Track

  5. Enter copy code in the password field


How to Print from an iOS Device

  1. Verify that it’s an AirPrint enabled printer.

  2. Connect to any Minnehaha Academy Wi-Fi network

  3. Tap any Share Sheet icon then tap Print. Select the printer. Note: If it is an AirPrint enabled device but does not appear in the list of available printers then request support.

Note: Follow these steps if you encounter problems.


Print to a BizHub

We recommend you install a BizHub printer from Self Service but you can follow this link to install manually.

Advanced Features

User Boxes: Documents wont print until you're at the printer so that your documents don't get mixed in with others.

Account Track & Preset: Make sure when you print your documents are tracked and aren't double-sided.

Printing in reverse from Senior Systems? First verify mirroring isn't turned on. If you're still having issues try downloading this driver.


Citrix Printing Issues

You may find that documents print upside-down when printing from Senior Systems. Use this application to install the Universal PLC6 driver for HP printers that are having issues printing from Senior Systems/Citrix.
